Maricopa County Sheriff Office

Maricopa County Sheriff Office

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) provides cost-effective, professional law enforcement services to the Town of Queen Creek on an annual contractual basis. The office serves as the police department for the community. Under this arrangement, citizens benefit from the assets available to a large, full-service law enforcement agency while paying only for basic patrol and support services. Under the intergovernmental contract, sheriff’s deputies are assigned to patrol the Queen Creek community 24 hours per day, seven days per week. A detective is assigned to conduct criminal investigations in the area. The MCSO is also responsible for providing services to the unincorporated areas surrounding Queen Creek, and it operates one of the largest county jail systems in the United States. In 2009, both crimes rates and response time declined. Sheriff’s deputies arrived on the scene in four and one-half minutes from the start of the call. This is more than a minute quicker than calls placed to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office in 2008. To view the complete statistics.
