The special weapons and tactics team, or SWAT as it is best known, is a part of many police forces. These officers are trained and armed to deal with extreme danger and violence such as hostage situations and terrorist attacks. SWAT 4 is a tactical first-person shooter developed by Irrational Games and published by Sierra Entertainment in 2005. Players take the role of a team leader for a SWAT police unit in a number of detailed scenarios.
