Real Estate License Florida

Real Estate License Florida

The state of Florida currently has reciprocity agreements with nine states: Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Georgia, Indiana, Mississippi, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Tennessee. South Carolina is not on this list. Florida real estate license holders are not able to obtain licensure in South Carolina through mutual recognition unless they also have a current real estate license in Georgia, North Carolina, Kentucky, or Virginia--the states with which South Carolina has reciprocal licensing agreements. Although South Carolina and Florida do not have a reciprocity agreement, South Carolina does recognize the experience and education of a Florida license holder. As such, candidates who hold licenses in other jurisdictions may only be required to take and pass the state portion of the South Carolina examination. Real estate agents assist individuals, companies and non-profit organizations with finding properties to suit their unique purposes. Florida real estate licenses are issued by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation. Two types of real estate licenses are available as of 2010: the real estate salesperson license and the real estate broker license. Individuals applying for either license are required to meet certain educational and professional requirements.

Florida is a great place to live, but I have finally decided to move to South Carolina. I feel it is the right place to raise a family. I already have some Mount Pleasant real estate picked out and can't wait to sign off on it. It is an absolutely incredible feeling.
