Keweenaw Real Estate
The Keweenaw Peninsula ( /ˈkiːwɨnɔː/ kee-wi-naw, sometimes locally /ˈkiːvənɔː/) is the northernmost part of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. It projects into Lake Superior and was the site of the first copper boom in the United States. As of the 2000 census, its population was roughly 43,200. Its major industries are now logging and tourism, as well as jobs related to Michigan Technological University and Finlandia University. A company is only as good as its people. We are the oldest, most experienced real estate firm in the Keweenaw, established in 1858. We were the first members of the Keweenaw MLS. RE/MAX Douglass consistently sells more residential real estate than any other office in our MLS. Our Realtors are full-time, and backed by over 200 years of real estate experience and the best training in the industry. Look to us for help in selling or buying a home, vacant land, investment, or commercial property.
