Pueblo County Sheriff
The Pueblo County Sheriff's Office, located in Pueblo County, Colorado is responsible for law enforcement and fire protection for over 2,300 square miles (6,000 km2) of unincorporated area. The current Sheriff is Kirk M. Taylor (elected 2006). Divided into three Bureaus — Law Enforcement, Detention, and Emergency Services, the agency has approximately 300 employees. Aside from the three bureaus, the agency boasts a robust Training Section and a strict Office of Professional Standards. "To provide all-hazards emergency management services to the citizens and guests of Pueblo County. These services include coordinated mitigation, professional communications, volunteer coordination, preparedness, response, recovery,and public education that constitute comprehensive all-hazards emergency management."
